Utrecht University is a broad, high-quality international research university . We have a strong bond with the city of Utrecht and our roots extend deep into the past (1636).
Our interdisciplinary research focuses on four themes: Life Sciences , Pathways to Sustainability , Dynamics of Youth and Institutions for Open Societies . We invest in innovative educational concepts . Partly because of this, the study success of our students is high.
Our education and research are closely linked. We work together in close-knit communities. We find diversity important.
All of this provides us with a solid basis for working together worldwide on the social issues of the future.
The Utrecht University grounds are non- smoking from 1 August 2020 .
