UWC IN THE GLOBAL LANDSCAPE

Welcome to the International Relations Office

We are all interconnected by our histories, aspirations and common humanity.

UWC welcomes international students to pursue their learning, research and innovation goals in a diverse, thriving academic community. Strategic initiatives, including international collaborations, have substantially transformed our history as an institution of struggle under oppression during apartheid.

The international community can contact our Office for engagement on establishing: international partnerships, connections with scientific and transformative networks that align with the University’s Institutional Operating Plan and mobility opportunities for students and staff.

Staff and students at UWC seeking study abroad, student exchange, collaborative teaching and research or training assignments can engage with our Office for information on the University’s global contacts.

This foundation also underscores UWC’s role in the space of social justice. – Professor Vivienne Lawack, Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Academic

Scholarships

At UWC, we believe in producing global citizens – graduates who understand the bigger picture and are committed to acting responsibly on a local and global scale. By sending our students out into the world, through exchange programmes, they learn how to truly make a difference in addressing the bigger challenges of the 21st Century: Climate change, public health, poverty, food and water security, migration and mobility, early childhood development, big data, among many others.

Interested in student exchange or study abroad opportunities?

UWC has exchange agreements with partner institutions around the world. An inbound/outbound mobility provides international students with an opportunity to interact with local students on an academic and social level.

International Mobility
