Swiss-SA Student Exchange Program: Advancing Antibacterial Research-University of Western Cape and University of Bern

In a stride towards combating antibiotic resistance, the University of Western Cape (UWC) and the University of Bern have joined forces in a formal collaboration.

The genesis of this partnership was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), heralding a new era of scientific synergy between the two institutions.

This collaborative effort stems from the successful grant application titled “Exploration of New ReMnMoW Tricarbonyl Complexes as Novel Antibacterial Agents” by Dr. Alexander’s lab at UWC and Dr. Frei’s lab at the University of Bern from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss-TPH).
